John Shook | Junior Artist
I am a Pittsburgh based tattoo artist. I've been tattooing a little over a year now and have done several projects that have tested my skills such as cover-ups, precise placement between existing tattoos, lettering designs, full color, greyscale, tattooing on difficult skin types, walk-in clients, & bringing people's ideas to life by enhancing their reference images to create a workable tattoo design.
This year I hope to work on larger grey scale tattoos in the styles I've been creating (Memory Metal, visionary Sci-Fi, & Oddities).
These designs are referenced from a large part of my paintings and sculpture from previous years.
I would also like to do some color or greyscale projects that are Realistic, Nature Based designs such as Animals, Fish, Birds, Reptiles, Amphibians, & Landscapes.
Other specialties include Painting in Acrylics, Airbrushing, Pen and Ink, Graphite, Aerosol, Sculpting, & Mold Making.
I have also Live Painted, Body Painted, Sculpture Demoed, and Airbrushed at events at CoSM (Alex & Allyson Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors) in Wappingers Falls NY from 2014-Present.
I curate community group art shows at his gallery The Endonaut, located in Pittsburgh PA, featuring the works from myself and several other visionary artists from around the country.
